Today was one of those days when you feel like the greatest parent ever. If you detect sarcasm in that last sentence, good for you!

About 4 days ago, Crede fell out of bed around 10pm. I heard the thump and ran in to find him sitting on his floor. He cried, and then went back to sleep. He kept waking up in the night crying, but I just hugged him and he fell back asleep.

Now.

The last 3 days he has been complaining about his shoulder hurting. I just thought he landed on it wrong, and then the weekend hit (why do serious things either happen on Saturday evening or in the middle of the night?!). We didn't want to pay big bucks to take him to the Emergency Room, so we waited it out. It was pretty sad to watch him though. He held his little arm tucked under so that he didn't have to move it. (We didn't notice the tucking thing until last night though). Needless to say, we went to the doctor today.

Crede had 2 x-ray's, and guess what?
He's got a cracked collarbone.

Poor kid! They gave him a sling to wear and 3 suckers to eat. He was a pretty happy kid until we got home and he said, "I don't want to wear this anymore Mom." TWO WEEKS of the sling and then we get to go back for some more x-rays.

Happy Times.
**sigh** Sorry Crede. We love you so much and we're sorry that we were a little too slow getting you to the doctor. At least you got some dumdums out of this, right?
